Jeff Griifith began his career in education in 2007 as a high school social studies teacher in southwest Ohio. He came to the Freedom Area School District in 2014 as a high school special education teacher. He taught at FHS as both a special education and social studies teacher until 2021 when Mr. Griffith became the K-8 Dean of Students working in the elementary and middle schools. In 2022, he moved back to FHS as the Assistant Principal. Mr. Griffith was hired in May 2023 to his current position of Middle School Principal.
Mr. Griffith received his bachelor’s degree in history from Marietta College and received his special education teaching certificate from Miami University. He completed his master’s degree in educational leadership and principal certification from the University of Dayton.
Mr. Griffith is married to his wife, Amber. They live in Wexford and have a son, Ryan, and two daughters, Kendall and Natalie. Working in the district since 2014, Mr. Griffith has witnessed what a great community Freedom has and is proud to serve as the Middle School Principal.
